    1. @Crolicious honestly they put new world as the number 1 so this makes me suspect them of just being amazon’s lapdog.

    2. TBH I just wanted to play but still an ‘EA’ Mode (Early Access).

      So… I guess I agree with you.

    1. Use MyTube if on Xbox, there are plenty of browser extensions for pc. Android use either Edge or Power Browser. I would point blank refuse to use YouTube if I had to watch the ads….

    2. Had the whole Star Wars sequel trilogy as a unskippable ad before, had to get a new phone halfway due to me putting it up against a grinder

  1. I’ll check back in on these in 2022 and see how they’re doing. I’ve been stung too much to get in early on games. The good thing to come from Cyberpunk may be that the ‘release it regardless of the state and we’ll fix it post launch’ era of gaming may be coming to a close.

    1. Everyone has to have their first time getting burned by pre-game hype unfortunately. It’s a right of passage at this point.

  2. The lead guy behind ashes of creation has a lot of the right ideas, pulling it off is going to be a whole other story though.

    1. Jeffrey and his team are making great progress. They will definitely be the ones to bring MMOs back to their roots. And hopefully with it other devs will try to do the same.

    2. they are already fully funded and its his own money so I’m really hoping the game will be like what he has envisioned.

  3. Crimson Desert is not an MMORPG anymore, developers took the project to another direction and now i think it will be a Single player/Coop game, similar to Genshin Impact.

    1. I’m hoping it has more of like online in towns or something where you can form a party then adventure with them out in the wild but who knows.

    1. @Serpentime K I completely agree. I hate seeing damage points. Numbers flying off of enemies seems so old arcadeish. I can’t immerse myself into a game when I’m constantly seeing numbers pop up

    2. @Serpentime K It’s way easier to churn out content quickly if you provide a false sense of progress and achievement using numbers. Who needs to create meaningful content if you’ve got that.

    3. its even sadder when you think about all the possibilities available with a MMO. Why don’t any developers try ultra-realism in the gameplay/visuals? I personally cant stand when numbers fly off enemies when you hit them, yet it seems like every developer goes for that aesthetic.

  4. Blue protocol, lost ark, chrono odyssey. I havent played an mmorpg in YEARS but i am keeping a close eye on those!

    1. I’m interested to see how Micro-Transaction depended the game will be. BDO is famous for the amount of Micro-Transactions in that game so it’ll be interesting to see if the continue down that road of bleeding their player base dry with them.

    1. @carrier fun fact:
The old thumbnail has a teenage young girl what apeares wearing a snow coat in a snowy area. I don’t know what game is it from, thats just the thumbnail if a can recall.

  5. I’m gonna start playing phantasy star online 2 when new genesis drops. But above all I’m excited for blue protocol.

  6. Another year, another “new” MMORPG (but really has been mentioned every single MMO/RPG video for the past 2 years) video!
